Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)
Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) is the art and science of excellence.
It is a method and process for discovering patterns that experts
use in any field to achieve outstanding results. It is about the
relationships between thought, communication and behaviour.
Neuro: neurological processes.
Linguistic: language affects how we communicate with ourselves and
others.
Programming: ways we choose to produce results.
NLP was developed in the early 1970s by Richard Bandler and John
Grinder who studied the methods used to create incredible change
by Virginia Satir (a family therapist), Fritz Perls (the developer
of Gestalt Therapy) and Milton Erickson (developer of Ericksonian
Hypnosis).
Ericksonian Hypnosis helps individuals develop deep trance states,
which can be used for relaxation and stress reduction, problem solving,
and accessing the inner resources needed to meet life's ongoing
challenges. The hypnotic language patterns of Milton Erickson can
be used in everyday communication as well as in formal trance inductions.
NLP explores how we know what we know and how we do what we do.
NLP is an "epistemology" meaning the study of how we
know what we know.
NLP is also a "methodology" which allows us to observe
and if necessary to change the strategies we use to achieve the
results we get in our everyday lives.
As an NLP Master Practitioner I will design a series of interventions
to help each client create the changes they wish for themselves.
